Letter from the A.D.

Hello Lady Panther Supporters,

Welcome to Notre Dame High School for Girls Lady Panther 2011-2012 athletic season. I am a 1972 graduate of Notre Dame High School and am excited to begin this position at my alma mater.

The Notre Dame Athletic Program has more opportunities for the girls now than were available to myself and fellow alumnae many years ago. In 1972, Title IX of the Educational Amendments opened many opportunities for women in sports. As women, we need to take full advantage of these opportunities offered at Notre Dame. All students are strongly encouraged to participate. Our athletes strive for both academic and athletic success. Through cooperation, dedication, and enthusiasm their achievements are surpass expectation!

Grade school girls who are looking for a high school with academic and athletic enrichment should plan a Shadow Day to experience the Notre Dame student life. Notre Dame is an institution that clearly exemplifies a strong tradition of academic excellence and integrity for almost 75 years.

This year Notre Dame will be competing at the varsity level in volleyball this fall, basketball in the winter, and softball and soccer in the spring. Please refer to the rest of the Athletics site for up to date practice and game schedules throughout the year. I encourage you to support these young women by attending our games.
