Parent Teacher Conferences
A partnership between the parents and the faculty is important to us. We encourage open communication with parents/guardians as well as our student body. Parent-teacher conferences are a prime example of this relationship and partnership in education. There are mandatory conferences set throughout the year, but other opportunities of communication are always welcomed.
Here are some of the questions that are frequently asked:
Are all the conferences mandatory?
There are 2 mandatory conferences during the school year, 1st quarter progress reports and 3rd quarter progress reports.
Can I request a conference with a teacher?
Of course. Any teacher can be contacted through the main office or by email and an appointment is agreed upon.
Can I drop in for a conference or should I schedule one?
Scheduling a set time for a conference is the easiest. It guarantees that a teacher will be available for the time when you are able to make it to school. There is time before or after school to meet.
Should I bring my daughter to the conference?
It is important that your daughter attends the conferences to hear what is being said and what is being agreed upon. The united relationship between parent and teacher is important for the student to witness and be a part of.
What entrance should I use when I come into the building?
The main entrance is the best entrance to use. Please stop in the main office when entering the building, and we can notify the teacher that you are here for a conference.
