Goals
The educational process at Notre Dame will enable the student and graduate to:
- Make a life-long commitment to living the Gospel of Jesus Christ
- Understand the value of the love of God and neighbor and act accordingly
- Recognize her responsibility to promote peace and justice
- Participate in the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation school evaluation process to insure Notre Dame is Catholic, Excellent and Vital
- Demonstrate a mastery of essential skills of literacy, effective communication, numeracy, and foreign languages.
- Develop computer literacy and technological competences
- Develop knowledge and attitudes necessary for good citizenship and global consciousness
- Appreciate and value artistic expression
- Think critically, creatively and logically
- Establish a new model of Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Chicago to meet local needs
- Possess the self-confidence, self-respect and self-esteem necessary to meet challenges and responsibilities
- Recognize that as an individual and woman she has unique contributions to make to the Church and society
- Appreciate and celebrate the ethnicity of herself and others
- Value knowledge and learning as integral to the lifelong process of realizing her intellectual, physical and social potential
