About
Notre Dame High School for Girls is a private Catholic high school located on the Northwest side of Chicago. Our student body represents the many neighborhoods and cultures that Chicago has to offer. We provide a faith based, technology rich, college preparatory program that invites students to prepare for a future not yet envisioned.
Our History:
Sponsored by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, we started our journey in 1937 and continue it today on the campus of St. Ferdinand Parish. On August 21, 2009, and with almost 150 students, the New Notre Dame High School for Girls opened it doors as a ministry of St. Ferdinand Parish. As a new model in educational excellence for Catholic high schools, we expanded the amount and variety of technology and curriculum courses.
Notre Dame continues to provide an oasis of opportunity for young women who might otherwise get lost in larger, more impersonal public and private school settings. The Notre Dame experience is so much more than academics. It’s a curriculum, a culture and a Christian community that produces women powerful enough to make a difference in their lives… and in the lives of the people they touch.
Our Academic Program:
Our faith-based, technology rich curriculum offers every student the opportunity to excel. A rigorous honors program is available for students who have the capabilities to excel beyond the regular college preparatory program. Notre Dame’s educational program is designed to challenge students of all abilities to achieve the highest possible level of academic and personal excellence.
Notre Dame has the same high level of success with students who have special needs. The goal of the program is to ensure that every young women is accepted to a college or university that is best suited to fulfill her personal and professional interests and dreams.
